Bittersweet Beauties is a series that represents a synergy between words and images that evokes my original bachelors degree in Literature. It's a project where random verses of mine are transformed into portraits of beautiful women through artificial intelligence platforms. By using these verses only as prompts, I provoke the machine to reinterpret them in the form of images, creating a unique fusion of literature and visual art. Subsequently, Later, I tattoo the women’s skin with the verses that originated them, giving them a singular identity and emotional depth. These feminine figures, with their different attitudes and expressions, evoke the aesthetics of the Pre-Raphaelites, an artistic movement that sought perfection and idealized Beauty. Each woman of Bittersweet Beauties carry with them an air of melancholy and introspection, immersed in a dreamlike universe that, while accentuating their delicacy and complexity, brings a counterpoint to the violence of the poetry carved into their skin, as if the words were both a starting and an endpoint, inescapable. Observing these works as a whole, I see a celebration of ephemeral beauty and human fragility. Each woman is a personification of the verses that created her, a modern muse who bears on her skin the marks of visual poetry. They are simultaneously strong and vulnerable, real and ethereal, and this duality is what makes the series so captivating. In Bittersweet Beauties, the words come to life and form, transforming into a visual testimony of emotions and thoughts. It is a tribute to the ability of art to transcend barriers and touch the viewer in a profound and personal way. These works invite reflection on the beauty, sadness, and poetry that exist within each of us, revealing the magic that arises when technology and creativity meet.
